Meet our Team
Dr. Adam Fienman
The son of an orthodontist and dental hygienist, Dr. Adam Fienman grew up in southern New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Michigan, where he majored in anthropology-zoology and minored in classical archaeology. During undergraduate training, he spent time volunteering at the hospital and taking seminars on medicine, but it wasn’t until a conversation with his grandmother that dentistry was cemented in his mind as the perfect career.
Dr. Fienman was thrilled to stay in Ann Arbor to continue his study of dentistry, earning his dental degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2005. Rather than jumping into private practice, Dr. Fienman pursued further training, completing a general practice residency in 2006 at University Hospital in Ann Arbor. During this year, he was able to gain valuable experience treating a wide range of patients with complex medical needs.
Since completing his formal training in Ann Arbor, Dr. Fienman has been practicing dentistry in metro Detroit. He has completed a wide range of continuing education courses in order to expand his clinical offerings to his patients. Those courses included extensive training in oral surgery, dental implants, bone grafting, orthodontics, and Invisalign. He is a lifelong learner and continues to take courses above and beyond the state requirements in order to stay up-to-date and provide his patients with the highest level of care.
Dr. Fienman and his wife, Tracie, are both dedicated members of the West Bloomfield community. While Dr. Fienman has been transplanted from the east coast, Tracie was raised in West Bloomfield and has been the Director of Congregational Engagement at Temple Israel since 2005.
When they are not working, they are busy keeping up with their four children: big sister Madelyn and triplets Hannah, Blake, and Levi. In order to stay fit and active, Dr. Fienman enjoys working out at the local CrossFit box and training their dog, Zeus.
Lisa has been running the office since establishing it with Dr. Platt in 1999. She looks forward to welcoming you as a member of our dental family. Lisa is warm and compassionate. She understands our patient’s needs and can help you achieve the dental health you desire.
Prior to entering the dental field in 1991, she worked for 12 years as a hairstylist. Her eye for detail and aesthetics helps us create outstanding smiles. She and her family currently reside in Clarkston, Michigan, where she was born and raised. When away from the office, she enjoys reading and looks forward to her annual Florida vacations to the same town she has been visiting since she was 12 years old.
Laura is the friendly voice you will hear when you call our office. She loves being a small part of your day, sharing conversations, and learning about your families.
Prior to joining our team, Laura was Lisa’s favorite barista at the local coffee shop in Clarkston. Her bright, cheery voice and warm heart are apparent when you meet her. A longtime member of our team, Laura will help you find the right time to get your dental care completed. If you ask nicely, she may even make you the perfect cup of coffee.
Laura is a proud parent of three children and is very excited to be a grandma to her granddaughter, Payton.
Shelly has been providing wonderful dental experiences to patients for over 20 years. She loves working with people and aims to make your appointments stress-free. You will find her working with Kristine and Dr. Fienman to help keep your smiles shining. Shelly has completed numerous continuing education courses, including advanced training in dental implant surgeries and PRP. She is wonderfully skilled in fabricating various dental appliances that help keep our patients’ teeth healthy.
When not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, her pets, and her boyfriend, Gary. Her hobbies include music, outdoor activities, and horseback riding.
A highly skilled dental assistant, Kristine has been providing exceptional clinical care for our patients for over 20 years. She keeps the clinical side of the office running efficiently. A lifelong learner, she is happiest when she is learning about new dental procedures that can help improve our patients’ lives. She especially enjoys surgical procedures. An adept phlebotomist, she is the one you will see when you need PRP prepared for your procedure.
Kristine truly has the most fun at work. She absolutely loves our patients and is honored to take care of their smiles every day. Kristine is very passionate about music and loves playing our music loud and singing along.
Kristine is married with a busy household, which includes three children and two dogs.
Rochelle prides herself on being able to provide a stress-free environment to all her patients when they visit for dental cleanings. She also likes to educate her patients about their health and well-being. We know she is doing an amazing job at this because we hear it from our patients all the time. Rochelle started working as an assistant in dentistry in 2011 and graduated from Oakland Community College in 2017 with her dental hygiene degree.
Rochelle enjoys being the fun aunt spending lots of quality time with her nieces and nephews. She leads an active, healthy lifestyle, making time for fitness and dancing. You will notice our office is filled with music. If you are lucky, you can catch Rochelle singing a duet with Kristine.
Cynthia is one of the smiling faces you will see when you visit us for your dental cleanings. With gentle hands and a caring heart, she will make your visits easy and painless. Cynthia has been on the clinical side of dentistry since 2000. She graduated the dental hygiene program at Oakland Community College in 2007 and has been providing excellent patient experiences since.
When away from the office, Cynthia enjoys family time with husband Marvin and sons Jake and Madden. She even makes time to read, garden, and take relaxing walks.
Zeus is a medium-sized labradoodle mix puppy. Dr. Fienman’s family adopted him from an animal rescue at 8 weeks old in the spring of 2018. Upon much encouragement from the staff, he joined the team at Fienman Dental in the winter of 2019.
He spends his days in his private office sleeping on the couch and visiting with our dog-loving patients on request. He is currently studying to gain acceptance to TDI (Therapy Dogs International). Zeus has completed basic obedience training and is diligently working on his sit, down, and stay. He aspires to achieve the coveted level of therapy dog very soon.
When not at the office, he enjoys being active. He is an energetic member of the Fienman Family, keeping up with the kids whenever he can. Zeus is a regular visitor to CrossFit Bloomfield, where he gets lots of attention. When Dr. Fienman is away for continuing education courses, he looks forward to staying with Shelly and playing with her dog, Maci.
